Sophia Amoruso's book, #GIRLBOSS, has immensely taught me numerous insights including learning how to hustle for myself and for others. Just recently, Netflix released a thirteen-episode series loosely based on Amoruso's E-bay past and it's a lighthearted watch if you ask me. One reason as to why I binge watched the whole season in one night was because of the clothes. In the series, Sophia is seen in vintage-esque outfits including flare pants, silk bombers, and heels like no other.
Today, I decided to subtly channel a little bit of #GirlBoss into my outfit.

001: My rust-coloured, boatneck top is from Uniqlo and it has a ribbed texture to it.
002: Straight jeans with parted ends and fringes is from Mango, but I purchased it off from Zalora. I think it looks pretty badass, it honestly makes me feel like I'm some lead singer of some indie band.
003: I finished the outfit with black heeled-mules from River Island which I also ordered from Zalora.

1. KENZO Paris Espadrilles. These have been my everyday shoes back when my school didn't have uniforms yet. They're absolutely wearable and comfortable. Slightly on the pricier side, I can tell you that these will not fail you. 
2. TOPSHOP lace up Clogs. Living in a tropical country and being 5'0 tall, these suit me very well. These were the first clogs that I've owned and they've made me massively in love with how versatile they are. 
3. River Island metallic Plimsolls. Not gonna lie, when slip on plimsolls first sold in the market, I was not a fan. It wasn't because I didn't like the design, but just because everybody had them. Eventually, I gave in to these rose gold ones that really pop out of the mainstream. love love love.
4. Loafers with garter.  My mom visited Korea a couple months back and brought me home my most worn shoes to this date. I haven't really had much posts talking about my love for style & fashion, but what you should know about me is that I love loafers. This pair goes with almost everything in my wardrobe from trousers to dresses.
5. Adidas Copper ZX Flux. I don't really fancy wearing running shoes casually, but this pair from Adidas is exceptional. The copper accent is what won me over, but I still feel super basic wearing them to the mall. Nevertheless, you couldn't really go wrong with going to PE with comfy, fashionable trainers.
6. Steve Madden T-strap Sandals.  Pretty much the only t-strap sandals I will live by as I have been summoned by the power of a pretty metallic once again. Every time I put these babies on, I feel very feminine. This definitely set the standards high for t-strap sandals.
7. Zalora Pumps with bow details. Slip on suede pumps? I think yes. I've worn these mostly during the festive season because it has the prettiest metallic heel. I've seen these around pinterest and this one from Zalora is wallet-friendly yet trendy! 

Hello, everybody! Today is officially Christmas break and my feeling for Christmas is growing bigger and bigger each day. I don't know if I've mentioned this in my blog, but I'm visiting Hong Kong on the twenty-sixth and I am beyond hyped. I haven't been there in about six years! For this blog post, I'll be sharing to you what I normally bring in my carry-on whenever I'm off to travel during the holidays.


This year, I plan to take with me this faux leather bag from Pull & Bear. (it has to be faux because don't kill animals, it's disgusting). I find it to be very accessible and it also has a lot of compartments for storage. I also think that black is a good choice for travelling mainly because it matches every outfit.




Of course, a tiny makeup kit. I personally don't own that much makeup and I'm not very fond of applying a lot during travel because it takes a lot of my time. I like to bring with me a small pouch. The gold purse above is from Zalora and it came with two more. Inside, I have a The Body Shop lip roll-on, a Revlon highlighting palette, a brow palette from YMA, Revlon concealer in the shade Pale Moyen, and a Revlon Colorstay powder in Ivory.


I also like to carry around a pair of sunglasses just in case there's a little bit of sun or if I want to add a statement into my outfit. This one is from Komono and I was a bit skeptical at first. However, it's perfect for the urban city.



Lastly, I like to take with me a pair of cozy socks and these pug gloves that Charlie gave me to keep myself warm especially for lengthy flights. A good read and earphones are also very important in my opinion, just in case I have to wait for long periods of time.

I got this collared-knit top from a booth called Squash Clothing. I've been experimenting with different styles lately and I'm quite loving pastels now. Finally something that isn't black or white!


This notebook from suw(h)at is the coolest!The best part? It has blank pages for me to doodle my butt off during entrepreneurship class and it was only for $3!


I've never owned a pair of wide-legged pants before, but this piece from Squash Clothing (again, not sorry) is the most comfy apparel that I own. I have seen Laureen pulling it off, so I decided why the heck not.

P.s these pants are aqua, not gray. My camera captured it as a different color for some unknown reason.


I got this cropped button down from a booth named TWIC. It has daisies dotted all over it and I just find it to be casual and good for chill weekends.


TADA had really great playsuits and dresses. They all had a boho chic vibe in them and I really dig that. But again, it's black and I would wear basically anything that's black. My brother told me that it reminded him of Marzia Cutiepie and then I realized that he actually made a great observation.


Can we just praise the heavens of faux leather bags right now? This is definitely my best buy! It's from an online store called Nevelle/eleven, I believe. It's very laid-back. Also, it was under $12 and the quality is unbelievably great. I haven't really gone through a tote/shoulder bag phase before, but this makes me want to gather more.


Saved the best for last! Yes, last. This is probably the shortest haul in the world, but that's because there were less shops than I had expected. But these socks, you guys. The Scream by Edvard Munch is one of my favorite masterpieces so I basically freaked out when I saw it. I also had to bring home my good friend, Mona. Both pairs are from Paper Hearts! Each for again, $3 (IS THIS THE REAL LIFE)
