Current Beauty Favourites!

6:57 AM

Long time no blogpost! I thought that it would be time to finally update my blog after a one-month-ish hiatus. School has been going on for two weeks or so and I'm already bombarded with a heap of projects. But that shouldn't stop me from doing what I love which is to chat you guys through the things I find interesting. Also, I have been pure shite at coping up with monthly favourites. So to somewhat make up for my lazy bum, here are my current beauty favourites! All of the products in this post are awesome and if you're a make up freak like I am, I highly suggest you give at least one of these a go.

In case you didn't know, Benefit is now live in Cebu! The store in SeaSide opened up yesterday and I was able to pick up these two babies.  I've been using them both yesterday and today, so I guess it's pretty safe to say that these are current favourites.

Ka-Brow! Eyebrow Cream Gel, Benefit : When Benefit recently released their latest brow range, this gorgeous pot won me over immediately. As much as I give love to my brows, I've never really had a high street brow product. Cream gels are perfect for getting those brows on fleek and for once, they actually stay in place for the whole day! I am also obsessed with the packaging. How precious.

Agent Zero Shine, Benefit : My face often turns oily especially when I'm in school and to be dead honest, ain't nobody got time for applying an extra coat of matte powder. This translucent powder (with the most creative and convenient packaging yet) is a game changer. My cousin, Nessy, introduced this to me and if you've got a shiny t-zone like I do, definitely invest in one of these!

Baked Blush, Milani : Milani is my favourite cruelty-free drugstore brand. This baked blush in the shade 05 Luminoso is a beautiful, highly-pigmented peachy rose. At 8.50 USD, how could you possibly not purchase this blush? I'm in love with the gold packaging and the cheeky little brush that comes with the compact case!

Matte Radiance Baked Powder, Laura Mercier : Slightly on the pricier side, this highlight is a gift from the makeup gods. It's great for everyday looks and enhances your glow. I've been ditching the contour for highlight lately because I've only realised how pea-sized my head actually is.

Full Cover Concealer, Make Up For Ever : This full coverage concealer is what I've been going for a lot lately. My mom initially purchased this for herself, but it is quite dark for her skin tone. The concealer itself lasts long and it's very thick. Hence, full coverage. However, I do not recommend using this for your under eyes because it could be quite heavy.

Matte Liquid Lipkit, Kylie : Not the biggest Kylie Jenner fan out there and I'm surprised I even own one of her lipkits. The shade that I have is Candy K and I have been wearing the matte lipstick a lot lately. However, the shade looks slightly darker on my lips and my lips only. I'm not quite sure why, but nevertheless, it's still a really good lipkit. The lip liner, on the other hand, I was completely obsessed with because of it's creamy consistency until I realised that it was not retractable and that was the end of it.

Translucent Loose Setting Powder, Laura Mercier : Yet another gift from the gods! I've never heard of powder baking before until Pia Wurtzbach used the same product to set her under eyes. And let me just tell you that it is pure magic. I basically dab a bit of the powder under my eyes (post-concealer) and let it sit until I'm finished with my brows. I then sweep it off and it leaves that area matte for the entire time.

Have you tried any of these products? What has been your go-to make up product recently? x

All the love, regina

  7. I haven't tried any of these products but I do love other Milani blushes I've tried! I've got drier skin so I don't think some of these would work for me, but I've heard great things about the Laura Mercier translucent powder x
